Crossed by the ‘Naviglio Grande’, the Commune of Vermezzo is located at 119 meters above the sea level and 20 kilometers away from Milan. In this quiet and
picturesque location, breeders and members of the Arabian horse international community came together during the weekend of 14th -15th last October 2017 at the new equestrian facility - the MVR Pala Show Jumpers Asd. owned by Mrs. Barbara Morali & Co. - to assist and participate in the Straight Egyptian World Championship. This was a world event reserved solely to horses of the Egyptian line, the rarest line of the purebred breed representing 4% of Arabian horses and that, at its 5th anniversary, could rely upon the precious technical collaboration of two famous French Show Directors: Mme. Christianne Chazel and Mme. Dominique Briot. Therefore, a major event, a real ‘treat’ we add, for the most enthusiasts. This edition was attended by almost 100 horses from over 20 nations. They were presented by some of the best handlers of the international scene who had the task of showing the specimens in front of an international jury for assessment and scoring. The judges officiating at the show were: Mrs. GARDE EHLERT SILVIA (Germany); Mr. NASHAAT HEGAZY (Egypt); Mr. LACINA JAROSLAV (Czech Republic); Mr. TALAL AL MEHRI (Kuwait); Mr. PITTALUGA MARCO (Italy). As Disciplinary Commissioners: DUBOIS JEAN MARC; ABDEL WAHAB AMIRA; FREZZA MARCO and BERTRAND VALETTE. In the arena, in his role of Ringmaster: Jean Bernard Kupaj. Music Manager: Hassan Valsan. Speaker: Nabila Al Ali. Show Secretary: Alessia Cabassi. The Grand Final was compelling and kept everyone in suspense for much of it until the final champions for each category were announced.
