EDITORIAL N. 4/2021

Dear breeders and lovers of the Arabian Horse,

It’s hard to believe that the year has come and is almost gone. It seems like yesterday that we were still in the hot days of summer and were struggling with the heatwave of August. We’ve passed through a relatively mild Autumn, and as we come to December, it’s always good to take stock of the past year. After surviving the horrible effects of the pandemic, it’s clear that we live in a world loaded with risk. But, we have learnt how to go on with our lives and working commitments, staying close and adapting to the new circumstances. In Italy, the show-organizational machine has resumed working almost everywhere thanks to the efforts of a well-established and proactive circuit of affiliated breeders. As a Media Partner, ArabianHorseMagazineattendedsomeofthe most anticipated shows of the season: the 2021 Montefalco Summer Festival – the 35th Italian Nationals, the 9th Straight Egyptian World Championship (SEWC), and the thrilling 123rd Fieracavalli Verona hosting two unmissable appointments, the Verona International-B Cup and the European Championship reserved for the purebred Arabian horse. At an international level, the team flew to the Czech Republic on the occasion of the much- awaited Prague InterCup 2021 in September and, late in October, Abu Dhabi for the UAE National Arabian Horse Championship 2021. Thus, this Winter edition 2021 results from a busy-working quarter. The contents got carefully selected by the editorial staff. External contributors and experts of the sector have been keen to submit many papers and partnership proposals. We thank all of them and apologize from now on if we did not make it for all of them as we had a very tight schedule. We hope that they will continue to choose us as their preferred place of publication and graphic design e media service provider. So as we move into 2022, please feel free to drop us a line, provide suggestions and give feedback to help further develop our Magazine. But most importantly, continue to read, support and advertise your beautiful horses on Arabian Horse Magazine! In conclusion, according to tradition, we on the team - Gianluca Martino, Noemie Zeller, Nazario Bizzoco, Debora Martino and Sonia Smaldone - extend our best wishes for a very Merry Christmas and a New Year 2022 full of happiness to all the members of this breeding community. We do thank you for your great support and positive energy. We have some new events and activities planned and will be announcing these in the New Year. We also hope to extend the range of our activities beginning next year, not just in what we offer our readers but also in being more of a presence by working for and participating in Arabian Horse Shows around the globe!
