Crossed by the ‘Naviglio Grande’, the Commune of Vermezzo is located at 119 meters above the sea level and 20 kilometers away from Milan. In this quiet and picturesque location, breeders and members of the Arabian horse international community gathered on the weekend of 28th- 29th April at the new equestrian facility - the MVR Pala Show Jumpers Asd. owned by Mrs. Barbara Morali & Company to participate in the ‘MILAN INTERNATIONAL B - ARABIAN HORSE SHOW’ 2018. After the great success back in 2017, in Gorla Minore, Arabite Organization directed by Claudia Mazza decided to move the show to Vermezzo. The Contest was governed by the E.C.A.H.O. rules; it was affiliated with A.n.i.c.a. and hosted an international panel of four judges composed by: Dr. Aragno Gianmarco (Italy); Mrs. Darius Claudia (Germany); Mrs. Stojanowska Anna (Poland); Mrs. Mc Crea Wight Janice Ailen (United States). Excellent the job done by the Disciplinary Committee ably composed by: Dr. Vet. Teobaldelli Gian Paolo (Italy); Mr. Manerba Alberto and Mrs. Raso Barbara. Impeccable in their role of Ringmasters: Bonomi Mario Alessandro and Ludi Ivo both from Italy. Official speakers: Blaak Eric (NL) and Boschini Mirjam (IT); General Secretary: Alinovi Marzia (IT). Music played by Lorenzi Luisa. The participating Categories were all fascinating. The Final Championships entertained the audience on the edge of their seat throughout the show until the best champions of each category were awarded. The final results are set out below. FINAL CHAMPIONSHIPS In the Yearling Fillies Category, Gold medal champion the bay NOHIBA REGALIS (RFI FARID x NATISSE REGALIS) bred and owned by Re Pietro and presented by handler Diego Zoppellaro. Silver medal champion, the chestnut VIRGINIA MONISCIONE (AJMAN MONISCIONE x ANNA MONISCIONE BY PSYTADEL) bred and owned by Buzzi Giancarlo and presented by handler Andrea Boscarino. Bronze medal champion, the bay WAHAD AL KINUUZ (FADI AL SHAQAB x KINUUZ) bred and owned by Abu Riash Bha and presented by handler Giacomo Capacci. In the Yearling Colts Category, Gold medal champion the bay ACHILLES DOMITIA (EKS ALIHANDRO x HG SWEET FANTASY) bred and owned by Flavie Almann and presented by handler Scott Allman. Silver medal champion the bay MICHELANGELO REGALIS (SA FAEZ SIMBAD x NASHIRA BY CHAWY NA) bred and owned by Re Pietro and presented by handler Diego Zoppellaro. Bronze medal champion, the bay KALAHARI MA (QR MARC x KINSHASA JA) bred and owned by Patricia Maffre and Veronique Chabbert and presented by handler Scott Allman. In the Junior Fillies Category, Gold medal champion the chestnut ORFALINE KA (QR MARC x ORFA D’ARAB KA) bred by Paul Gheysens NV Zoutekreken, owned by Knocke Arabians and presented by handler Paolo Capecci. Silver medal champion the gray ASHWAQ AL SHAQAB (WADEE AL SHAQAB x DIADEMAH) bred and owned by Al Shaqab Member of Q.F. and presented by handler Giacomo Capacci. Bronze medal champion, VA LADY MADHJRA (MAHDER AL JAMAL x VA LADY PLAMENA) bred and owned by Ranieri Mauro from Victor Arabians and presented by handler Oberti Luca. In the Junior Colts Category, Gold medal champion the gray MONTE CORE (AJ MARDAN x MAHALYA EL JAMAL) bred by Mattens J. & Spoenle, owned by Fontanella Magic Magic Arabians and presented by handler Andrea Dello Iacono. Silver medal champion, the gray KADIDJ DE LAFAYETTE (SHANGHAI EA x KADIDJHA DE JALIMA) bred and owned by Daniel Souppat. Bronze medal champion, the gray STYX KALLISTE (SHANGHAI EA x LA SAALMAH BY BS SPECIFIC) bred and owned by Kalliste Arabians and presented by handler Scott Allman. In the Senior Mares Category, Gold medal champion the chestnut ALMA AL TIGLIO (AJMAN MONISCIONE x AMANDA AL TIGLIO) bred by Sauro Lodetti from Il Tiglio Stud -, owned by Buzzi Giancarlo and presented by handler Andrea Boscarino. Silver medal champion the gray MASHKORA AL SHAQAB (FADI AL SHAQAB x MARWAN AL SHAQAB) bred and owned by Al Shaqab Member of Q.F. and presented by handler Giacomo Capacci. Bronze medal champion the gray HANAYA JAZEEBAH (KENZ AL BAYDAA x IMHAJAA) bred by Hanaya Stud, owned by Fontanella Magic Arabians and presented by handler Andrea Dello Iacono. In the Senior Stallions Category, Gold medal champion the gleaming chestnut VESUVIUS DPA (EF KINGSTON x PSYMPLY RED VF) bred by Jane and Kristi Hopp, owned by Eugenio Del Vacchio and presented by handler Antonio Fusco. Silver medal champion the bay EKS AMIR (EKS ALIHANDRO x EKS LADY DAUPHINE) bred by Brown Willie, owned by Shazin Stud and presented by handler Boscarino Andrea. Bronze medal champion the chestnut RHR HEIR OF MARWAN (MARWAN AL SHAQAB x LC PSYCHISHEIRESS) bred by Roger and Stephanie McMahon, owned by Southern Chariot Stud and presented by handler Paolo Capecci. Again this year, the Milan International B Show gave us so much entertainment on two fabulous days surrounded by the beauty, elegance and charisma of our beloved Arabian horses. Therefore, our warmest thanks to Mrs. Barbara Morali & Co. whose hard work, great dedication and passion have made it possible the availability of a fantastic equestrian center such as the MVR Pala Show Jumpers Asd. in Vermezzo.
