The 2020 Menton Arabian Horse Cham- pionship took place from 4th to 5th July at the picturesque Promenade du Soleil,
Menton, France.
Organized by the Association Promotion Cheval Arabe (APCA) led by Madame Christianne and Monsieur Jean-Pierre Chazel, the ceremony held on the exclusive French Riviera welcomed no- table breeding programmes of the world breeding sector. As per catalogue, 121 Arabian specimens were registered to compete valorously for medal
recognition. It was interesting to note that quality was incredibly high among all the age groups and in both sexes. Horses were carefully reviewed and scored by an illustrious international jury formed by Dr. Aragno Gianmarco (Italy); Mr. Bialobok Jerzy (Poland); Mr. Detailleur Koenraad (Bel- gium); Mr. Tarczynski Tomasz (Poland) and Mrs. Weidner Michaela, on a scale of 1-20. The cate- gories of evaluation included: Type, Head, Body, Legs and Movement.
Disciplinary Commissioners were: Dr. Mascagna Laura (Italy); Dr. Abdelawahb Amira (United Arab Emirates); Mrs. Van Eerten Vivian (The Nether- lands) and Mr. Ceccaroni Roberto (Italy). Ringma- ster: Mr. Kupaj Jean Bernard (France).
The parterres were embellished with lemon and orange tree-shaped decorations, giving a further touch of radiance and pride to the event. A good number of dispensers filled with sanitizer were in- stalled every several meters while individual bottles were distributed throughout the show to al-
low the guests to disinfect their hands several times during each day given the Covid-19 circumstances.
The show began on Saturday
July 4th, at 2:30 pm featuring
the Filly & the Mare classes;
it started again on Sunday
July 5th, at 9:00 am with
the Colt & Stallion classes
and it concluded with the
Final Championships and
