A BEAUTIFUL STORY
ABOUT A SUPERSTAR
D BEISAN
(D SERAJ X RAH ROSALIA)
INTERVIEWED BY SONIA SMALDONE
A foal of impressive quality was expected when Dubai Arabian Horse Stud bred their home super sire D Seraj (FA El Rasheem x Ladi Veronika) to the exceptional mare Rah Rosalia (2011) (Rahere x RA Khansuela). However, when D Beisan came into being in 2020, they realized she was beyond expectations and would quickly win the hearts of many prominent stakeholders. In this regard, they were also right!
D Beisan is a true bombshell. Her pedigree, influenced by some of the greatest American, Polish, Spanish, and Egyptian bloodlines, has enabled her to mature into a well-balanced and showy young filly embodying the traits passed down by her aristocratic ancestors and increasing in quality with every passing day.
Her powerful sire line - D Seraj, Fa El Rasheem, FA El Shawan, Marwan Al Shaqab, Gazal Al Shaqab - includes all giants of the breed whose gobsmacking beauty and authentic Arabian type keep passing down, generation after generation. Conversely, less do we know about her very peculiar dam line. A quick search reveals that D Beisan's dam is the mare Rah Rosalia, sired by Rahere, a stallion imported to the U.S. from Australia. Rosalia's dam is the gorgeous Khadraj NA's daughter RA Khansuela. Khadraj NA daughters are known not just for their show successes but also as outstanding breeding mares.
Rosalia was herself a champion filly. She began her show career as a weanling at the 2011 Arabian Breeders Finals, Scottsdale, Arizona, where she was named Gold Champion Weanling Filly in a very impressive group. Rosalia returned to the Arabian Breeders Finals, Scottsdale, Arizona, in 2012 as a yearling and repeated her victory, winning Gold Champion Junior Yearling Filly. Like her dam, D Beisan is an ideal show filly with outrageously good looks and moves. She is always eager to please and ready to put on a great performance for the judges. As a yearling, she took the Arabian horse world by storm as she got crowned:
Gold Champion at Emirates Arabian Horse Breeders Championship 2021- Gold Champion at Abu Dhabi International Arabian Horse Championship 2021 -
Gold Champion at World Arabian Horse Championship 2021 - PARIS.
D Beisan was triumphant, and her team couldn't have been more pleased. She quickly climbed up the ladder and showed the industry that she was a force to be reckoned with.
At two years old, D Beisan is looking stunning. It is decided that she will get shown at the Dubai International Arabian Horse Championship 2022, where she was
Gold Champion Medal. She repeated the victory at the Mediterranean and Arab Countries AHC - Menton 2022 and won Gold Champion Junior Fillies Championship and Best Head in the show. During the qualifying classes, D Beisan and her handler Paolo Capecci ignited the ring. She bounced around that arena with her tail up, her snort-and-blow attitude on full display; she seemed ready for her spicy dance!
On championship day, she brought nothing less than her own supreme elegance and fantastic moves. Her silhouette and stand-up were exceptional. Both the judges and the crowds knew that this was their superstar champion.
D Beisan is a perfect example of a filly that should do it all - performance and breeding.
From the Mediterranean and Arab Countries AHC 2022, D Beisan has been acquired by Al Shaqab Stud, Qatar. As a result, she has had to take on a new challenge. A
