The 50th edition of the Al Dhafrah Arabian Horse Championship took place in Al Mirfa Corniche, a picturesque coastal community in Abu Dhabi's Al Dhafrah region. To enhance the UAE's global position in heritage preservation, the Championship is organized by the Emirates Arabian Horse Society, which is led by Mohamed Ahmed Alharbi and is also patronized by His Highness Sheikh Hamdan Bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
At this time of year, local breeders and owners are proud to showcase their top purebred Arabian horses born in this region of the world, and this event showcased their top breeding programs.
Ten judges predominantly from Middle Eastern countries evaluated a large group of highly trained specimens competing for national recognition: Mr Hammad Alaa (Bahrain), Mr AlMakrani Ali (Kingdom of Saudi Arabia), Mr Jadaan Basil (Syria), Mr Alotaibi Fahad Mutlak (Kingdom of Saudi Arabia), Mr Al Mesbah Jassim (Kuwait), Mr Mohsen Mahmoud (Egypt), Mr Badrawy Mohamed (Egypt), Mr Alghaithtt Nasser (Kuwait), Mr AlHusseini Sufian Taha (Palestine) and Mr Al Hattali Sulaiman (Oman).
Under the leadership of Dr Abdel Wahab Ben Ali Amira, Head of the Disciplinary Committee, the DC comprised of Mr Fouad Mamdouh Hassan (Egypt), Mr Tayfour Haitham Babiker (United Arab Emirates), Mr Ouelhazi Kaies Bin Hadi (United Arab Emirates), Mrs Zouaghi Farah, Dr Albogamiy Noorah and Dr Alkatheeri Dalal.
In their capacity as Ringmasters, Dr Mohammed Hammad and Mr Eida Almenhali. The Championship got commented both in English by Mr Eric Blaak and Arabic by Mr Mohammed Abu Bakr. The event was also attended by photographer Morhaf Al Assaf.
