PREFACE
As we wrap up a spectacular 2022 edition of the Dubai International Arabian Horse Championship and the plethora of recreational and cultural activities related to it, we head to Abu Dhabi to participate in two events with a strong resonance throughout the UAE: the Emirates AH Championship 2022 and the Arab Breeders Championship 2022. Two flagships of the Emirates Arabian Horse Society (EAHS) that for decades have been defending the heritage and purity of the Arabian Horse in this land. Both competitions are ECAHO affiliated shows, are held under the kind patronage of HH Sheikh Mansour Bin Zayed Al Nayan, and rely on the unparallel professionalism of HE Mohamed Ahmed AlAlarbi - Vice-Chairman of the EAHS and Show Manager - for their technical organization. The Emirates AH Breeders Championship 2022 is only open to private studs. It takes place from 23-25 March. The appointed judges are Mrs Stojanowska Anna (Poland); Mrs Bautista Antonia (Spain); Mrs McCrea Wight Janice Aillen (United States of America); Mrs Lowe Joanne (United Kingdom); Mrs Zeevenhoven Karin (The Netherlands); Mr Rocco Luiz (Brazil); Mr Al Mayawi Majed (Saudi Arabia), Mr Trela Marek (Poland) and Mr Badrawy Mohamed (Egypt). Bronze medal winner the chestnut MO Dahab (ES Harir x JJ Diamond OF Marwan) bred and owned by Khalaf Mohamed Khalaf Ahmed Alotaiba. 39th General Assembly Meeting of the European Conference of Arab Horse Organisations (ECAHO) 25th March, 2022 Amidst the shows, we are looking forward to attending with much interest the 39th General Assembly meeting of the European Conference of Arab Horse Organisations (ECAHO) that is held under the gracious patronage of H.H. Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Presidential Affairs and Chairman of the Emirates Arabian Horse Society. And hosted for the first time in history by EAHS at the Emirates Palace Hotel in Abu Dhabi in the presence of representatives of 32 countries. The two-day assembly includes, among other functions, a number of meetings for the ECAHO's executive, bid and sporting committees. On the sidelines of the assembly, participating delegations tour the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque, the Louvre-Abu Dhabi, Qasr Al Watan and Expo 2020 Dubai. The ECAHO manages Arabian horse championships, establishes laws and standards for Arabian horse shows, approves show organizers, and sets criteria for horse categories as well as veterinary care. Sheikh Zayed bin Hamad Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of the EAHS, welcomes the participants and wishes them success in developing viable recommendations for developing equestrian championships. As current President Lacina underlines at the end of his speech, the UAE's hosting of the assembly can only be attributed to the invaluable support provided by H.H. Sheikh Mansour for Arabian horse activities and his directives to encourage collaboration with regional and global organizations. Similiraly, special honours go to HE Alharbi as Vice- Chairman of EAHS and distinguished Show-manager. The Arab Breeders Championship 2022 takes place from March 29th to 30th at the same amazing venue in Al Mushrif as the previous Emirates AH Breeders Championship, with a new array of stunning Arabian horses eager to prove their beauty and movement in front of an expert panel of eight international judges: Mr Maagoul Abdelouahed (Morocco), Mrs Hyde Deidre (United Arab Emirates), Dr Aragno Gianmarco (Italy), Mr Bialobok Jerzy (Poland), Mr (Germany), Mr Faraj Mohamed Mahmood (Bahrain), and Mrs Tengstedt Marianne (Denmark). Members of the Disciplinary Commission are Dr Benamar Malak, Mr Al Haddadi Waleed Hadi, Mr Amira Abdel Wahab Ben Ali, Mr Tayfour Haitham Babiker, Mr Fouad Mamdouh Hassan, Mr Ouelhazi Kaies Bin Hadi, Mrs Zouaghi Farah, and Dr Alkatheeri Dalal.
