From February 22th- 25th the sophisticated and modern capital of the U.A.E. welcomed the 22nd Abu Dhabi International Arabian Horse Championship - one of the most attractive show-grounds in. Held under the patronage of HH Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nayan, the B- International Championship was governed by the EAHS Rules and Regulations established by the Emirates Arabian Horse Society that for the technical part could rely on the expertise of Show manager Mr. Mohamed Ahmed Al Harbi. The Higher Organizing Committee was composed by: Sheikh Zayed Bin Hamad Al Nayan (Chairman); Mr. Mohammed Ahmed Al Harbi (Vice Chairman) and Mr. Kim Elliot (Director of Abu Dhabi Equestrian Club). Ten international judges of proven experience were wisely invited by the EAHS. They were: Mr. Aeschbacher Urs (Switzerland); Mr. Constanti James (United States of America); Mrs. Darius Claudia (Germany); Mr. Gallun Greg (United States of America); Mr. Den Hartog Robbie (The Netherlands); Mrs. Jamar-Demeersseman Christine (Belgium); Mr. Rocco Luiz (Brazil); Mr. Tarczynski Tomasz (Poland); Mrs. Tengstedt Marianne (Denmark); and Mrs. Valdes Cristina (Spain). DCs members were: Dr. Laura Mascagna; Ms. Line Brunsgaard, Dr. Sujeet Suryawanshi; Mr. Kaies Ben Hadi Ouelhazi; Dr. Umer Raza Gill and Dr. Farah Zouaghi. In their role of Ringmasters: Dr. Sameh Bedair and Dr. Abdel Wahab Bin Ali Amira. Official scorer: Mr. Biju Peter. Show commentator: Mr. Nabila Al Ali. TV Live commentator: Mr. Abadalla Albarmaki. THE FINAL CHAMPIONSHIPS: Only the top winners of each category were able to compete on the final day of the championship and fight for the three coveted medals. The Final Championships were a pretty emotional moment and drew to a close with the following results: In the Yearling Fillies Championship, Gold medal winner the grey D Jooreyyah (D Seraj x D Nawal) bred and owned by Dubai Arabian Horse Stud, Uae. Silver medal winner, the bay Mds Hind (Excalibur E.A. x Mds Sheikha) bred and owned by Qusai Mohd Saeed Ali Obaidalla – Uae. Bronze medal winner, the chestnut Aj Al Brraqah 3 (Aj Marzan x Aj Assala) bred and owned by Ajman Stud – Uae. In the Junior Fillies Championship, Gold medal winner the bay D Shu'alah (Fa El Rasheem x Ft Shaella) bred by Dubai Arabian Horse Stud and owned by Shaikh Saeed Bin Maktoum Bin Juma Al-Maktoum – Uae. Silver medal winner the chestnut Aj Barakah (Aj Marzan x Princess Of Justice) bred and owned by Ajman Stud – Uae. Bronze medal winner the grey D Gharam (Fa El Rasheem x Ft Shaella) bred and owned by Dubai Arabian Horse Stud – Uae. In the Senior Mares Championship, Gold medal winner the bay Aj Tarim (Emerald J x Espinilla) bred and owned by Ajman Stud. Silver medal winner, the bay D Seeneyyah (Fa El Rasheem x Royal Emira) bred and owned by Dubai Arabian Horse Stud – Uae. Bronze medal winner, the grey Aj Asyad (Marwan Al Shaqab x Aja Angelica) bred and owned by Ajman Stud – Uae. In the Yearling Colts Championship, Gold medal winner the bay D Shaheer (Aj Marzan x D Shahla) bred and owned by Dubai Arabian Horse Stud – Uae. Silver medal winner the grey Ka Nishan (Shanghai Ea x Aj Nazwa) bred and owned by Khaled Ghanem Mubarak Alomairi – Uae. Bronze medal winner the grey E.S. Salah (D Mshary x Laminka) bred and owned by Sheikh Abdulla Bin Majid Alqassemi – Uae. In the Junior Colts Championship, Gold medal winner the bay Mutabahi Al Hawajer (Fa El Rasheem x Zt Magrumi) bred and owned by Dr. Ghanem Mohamed Obaid Alhajri – Uae. Silver medal winner the bay D Shakhat (D Khattaf x D Shireen) bred and owned by Dubai Arabian Horse Stud – Uae. Bronze medal winner the bay Bashir Al Bashir (Gallardo J x Nastya Os) bred by Ajman Stud – Uae and owned by Abdullateef Basheer Reja Alrasheedi. In the Senior Stallions Championship, Gold medal winner the chestnut Aj Marzan (Aj Portofino x Hed Ab Maria) bred and owned by Ajman Stud – Uae. Silver medal winner the grey Masroor Albidayer (Aj Dinar x Mayasah Albidayer) bred and owned by Sheikh Mohammed Saoud Sultan Alqassimi – Uae. Bronze medal winner the grey Moharib Al Khazna (Ab Jamil La Piana x Caterina Fm) bred and owned by Ali Ghanem Ali Humaila Al Mazroui – Uae. SPECIAL AWARDS There were also given some special awards at the end of the Championship day. The Sheikh Zayed Award was earned by the chestnut Aj Barakah (Aj Marzan x Princess Of Justice) bred and owned by Ajman Stud - Uae The Best Local Handler Award was assigned to Mr. Mohamed Mohaned Manadili, Uae. The Best International Handler Award was proudly given to Mr. Paolo Capecci, Italy. CONCLUSION: The 22nd edition of Abu Dhabi International Arabian Horse Championship was rich and thrilling from every point of view, starting from the large number of high quality horses entered, the beauty of the facility hosting this lovely four-day event, the generous prize money and excellent job done by the Organizers from the Emirates Arabian Horse Society. Congratulations to the speakers Mrs. Nabila Al Ali and Mr. Abdallah Albarmaki who managed the competitions with a flawless power of speech both in English and Arabic.
