There are an increasing number of Arabian horse breeders and owners in Jordan each year! In this particular region of the world, the most popular Arabian horse activities are halter shows and endurance rides organised by the Royal Jordanian Equestrian Federation.
They usually hold two shows, the National Championships and the International Middle East Championship. This year, the local show programme has got given a new name: the Jordan Bred Show, held under the patronage of HH Princess Alia Bint Al Hussein and organized by Mr Rida Ridwan Saudi, founder of Sofia Farms in Jordan. The event takes place at the Amman Equestrian Facilities, in the sports city of Amman, between 28th and 30th July. It has been a brand-new experience for us too since we have never travelled to this region of West Asia before.
At the core of this show, is the "Empowerment of Women", which is reflected in an all-female international judging panel, including Mrs Claudia Darius (Germany), Mrs Ohlsson Kathleen (Sweden), Mrs Annaratone Ferraroni Maria (Italy), Mrs Stojanowska Anna (Poland), Mrs Sosnowska Weronika (Poland), Mrs Van Hee Martine (Belgium ), Mrs Ibrahim Maha (Egypt) and Mrs Bautista Antonia (Spain).
With the grade of Disciplinary Commissioners: Mrs Wisniowski Kerstin (Germany), Dr Talafha Abdul Rahman (Jordan), Mr Abd Rabuh Fadi (Jordan), Dr Al Sayed Taleb and Ms Jaber Rahaf.
Ringmaster: Mrs Svensson Lizette (Sweden). Speaker of the show: Nabila Al Ali (Kuwait). Results by Arabian Essence (Italy). Official photographer of the kermesse, an artist of photography of the calibre of Mr Ahmed Taha (Egypt).
The show starts on July 28th, 2022, at 14:00 Europe/Rome and ends on July 28th, 2022, at 21:00 Europe/Rome with the following champion horses:
