At the eightieth edition of the Straight Egyptian World Championship Arabian Horse Show, held from 17th to 18th October at MVR Palashow Jumpers, in Vermezzo, just outside Milan, luxury came back again to play a central role in lending its name to the competition conceived by Mrs. Barbara Morali, CEO at Morali Group & C. This was a very important morphology event exclusively reserved for Straight Egyptian Arabian horses, the noblest and rarest horse breed, which today represent only the 4% of the Arabian Horses worldwide.
Located 15 km from the centre of Milan and close to main highways, the MVR Palashow Jumpers facilities offered a comfortable stay for both horses and their companions with first-class services ready to meet the needs and the safety of all participants in the show - breeders and spectators alike – while fully respecting anti-Covid-19 regulations.
As an exceptional sponsor of the eightieth edition, the 5-star Al Waab Farm owned by Sheikh Ahmed Bin Abdulla Al Thani, Member of the Qatari Royal Family. In Italy, Sheikh has become particularly famous for the acquisition of the Maison Valentino. As in past editions, the Championship was supported by the Qatar Foundation and by Sheikh Hamad Ali Bin Al Thani, who participated with Al Shaqab and Al Rayyan Studs. Other notable participating breeding programs were: Al Fala Stud, Abhaa Arabians, Al Qasem Stud, Al Sayed Stud, Al Qasem Stud, Al Naif Stud, Al Nawasi Stud, Al Rashediah Stud, TFK Stud, Al Wakeel Stud, Ezzaman Stud, El Farida Stud and Salayel Stud.
The entire Championship was supervised by Mrs. Christianne Chazel (France) and Mrs. Dominik Briot (France), two prominent Event Consultants in the sector.
Five international judges turned up to officiate the competition: Mr. Koenraad Detailleur (Belgium); Mr. Manfred Haine (Germany); Mrs. Helen Henneckens-van (Belgium); Mr. Fausto Scanzi (Italy) and Mrs. Christine Valette (France). With the rank of Disciplinary Commissioners: Mr. Roberto Ceccaroni (Italy); Mr. Jean Marc Du Bois (France) and Mr. Bertrand Valette (France). Ring-master: Mr. Christian Moschini (Italy). General Secretariat: Mrs. Alessia Cabassi (Italy); Mrs. Ginevra Vallisneri (Italy) and Mrs. Patrizia Garbati (Italy). Speaker and music by: AMG (Italy). Web Streaming: Arabian Essence (Italy).
The show started on Saturday 17th October at 2.30pm after a delicious Welcome drink and ended up on Sunday 18th October at 7.00pm with the following results:
In the Yearling Fillies Category, Gold medal winner, the grey Ayah Al Fala (Naseem Al Rashediah x Zummorroda Al Waab) bred and owned by Al Fala Stud. Silver medal winner, the grey Hind Al Rayyan (Ashhal Al Rayyan x Or Marjuana) bred and owned by Al Rayyan Farm. Bronze medal winner, the grey Jazeya Al Rayyan (Bahhei Ezzain x Hanoof Al Rayyan) bred and owned by Al Rayyan Farm.
In the Junior Fillies Category, Gold medal winner the grey Asinaat Sa (Shams Sharav AA x Amasi Al Ayal) bred by Sanad Mansour and owned by Abhaa Arabians. Silver medal winner, the grey AB Deem (Al Ayal AA x Dalal Zamani) bred by Abhaa Arabians and owned by Al Shaqab Stud. CONCLUSION
The truly exclusive facilities of MVR Palashow Jumpers in Vermezzo were allowed to host the most beautiful horses in the world also in such a difficult year. A combination of unmatched elegance and fineness, two beautiful days that went by in the name of true beauty and sport and in full compliance with anti-Covid-19 regulations. President Barbara Morali and her team worked very hard to manage the workload and hit the show deadline successfully.
